Karma is Reddit's version of likes, earned over years for saying something worth reading. People obsess over their score, but these internet points are meaningless. So we challenged Redditors to give theirs away for something that actually matters.
Reddit will keep a close eye on unfolding events around the world.
In response to disaster, Reddit will launch r/RealKarma. A subreddit where sacrificing 100 Reddit Karma provides $1 towards disaster relief.
We’ll spread the word through banner ads.
And we’ll prove to the world Reddit can be a tangible force for good.
